The yoga-in-the-workplace concept can take two formats :
| |
1 - The revitalizing break : |
| |
Weekly 15 to 30-minute sessions in a seated or standing position. Employees learn various breathing techniques, workstation stretching exercises and simple yoga postures. No special clothing is required. The goal of these sessions is to increase awareness of one’s inner state of being, identify sources of stress and simply live better. Work clothes are suitable for these sessions. |
|
| |
2 - The traditional method : |
| |
A full, one-hour class of dynamic hatha yoga or relaxation yoga. Employees no longer have to travel to a yoga class – yoga comes to them! Loose-fitting, yoga-style clothing is recommended. An appropriate location is required. |
|
| |
The French-language magazine Yoga Mondo reported that corporations like Ericsson, Télé-Québec, IBM, Radio-Canada and Bell are already taking advantage of workplace yoga. It is increasingly common to see a group of employees decide to call a yoga instructor for a class in their workplace.
Are you looking to introduce new activities at your next convention, corporate event or even in a school setting? Do you have a group of 2 to 15 people? Do you have an appropriate location? Put us to the test! All formulas are available – the initiative can come from employees, management or both. Call us to learn about the variety of ways to implement our services. |
